Predictive Diagnostics
Control valves are critical to the operation of any type of process plant. If a control valve fails or does not perform properly it will negatively impact plant performance. How the control valve failure affects the plant will depend on the application and type of plant, however, any deviation from set point will cost money. It could mean a shutdown of a unit; it could mean off specification product, it could result in a safety event. In any event control valve issues can cost your plant money and can be reduced with a good predictive diagnostic plan.
A good mix of predictive maintenance and preventative maintenance of your control valve assets will save you money in the long run. An emergency always cost you more money whether it costs you process downtime or the increased cost of materials that are needed to fix a valve problem in the middle of the night.
Our technicians are trained with the industry leading diagnostic tools that Fisher and have developed. This includes Fisher FIELDVUE DVC positioners, AMS software, ValveLink SnapON diagnostic software, and FlowScanner diagnostic equipment. Our technicians are also trained in diagnostic analysis to interpret if there is an issue and if so what corrective actions are required to get the control valve operating correctly.
New England Controls can work with you to develop a plan to help control valve catch issues before they happen and reduce your cost by planning maintenance versus reacting to catastrophic issues. We can help survey your assets with you and determine which diagnostics are the best fit for your plant.
